when i checked the online service this is the status.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 17, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 7, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on January 7, 2017.
4. Medical results have been received.

I had sent upfront medical with my application. Does it mean that my medical has been approved or has it been just received by CIC?

We both have the same timeline almost. My application is for October 25 and I have the same status as you but with different dates.
Following is my status on CIC website:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 25, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 10, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on January 11, 2017.
4. Medical results have been received.

I did upfront medical as well and have the same status right now. Let's stay in touch for the Passport request?

After you received your AOR, how long it took them to request for your medical?
I received my AOR a month ago but til now we have yet to receive any update.
Can help to share yours pls.

Anyone who applied for Manitoba (MPNP)?

I received my AOR on 10 April but til now there's no update.
They already charged the payment a few days later after I received my AOR.
Please share your experiences.

File sent to Nova Scotia Canada on October 15, 2016.

CIC received file October 24, 2016.

Got AOR from Canada CIC on January 11, 2017.

Background checks in progress February 02, 2017.

Got medical + rprf + bio page of passport February 14, 2017.

Medical passed February 22, 2017 and documents sent to London which were received by them on February 28, 2017.

Background checks were not applicable on April 03, 2017 and after three days turn again into progress on April 06, 2017.

Received reply of an email sent to London office about my file on April 07, 2017 stating " you will be contacted in coming days with instruction for next step to process your permanent resident application"

Still waiting for next step...

how come your background check was in progress in feb and then not applicable in Apr 03 and becomes in progress again in Apr 06. It is quite confusing and does anyone really know what background check means

Hi all! My sister timeline
(PNP with family support) paper application-outland
Nov. 30, 2016- AOR Received
Dec. 22, 2016- LVO requested almost all updated documents, PCC, RPRF, Medical, photo copy od bio data of passport height and eye colour, proof of funds, letter how she become economically stable. VO include in the letter to wait 4 months once she complete all the requirements.
Dec. 29, 2016- Medical Done
Dec. 30, 2016- Received Medical passed.
Jan. 10, 2017- Send all required documents to LVO
May 19, 2017- BGC went to in process ( do you have any idea how long or how many months she will receive her PPR base on other or your experience?

A small update:
September 15, 2016. CIC Received
November 16, 2016. CIC charged application fee from credit card
December 19, 2016. CIC sent AOR and FN
January 10, 2017. CIC sent reminder letter
January 17, 2017. CIC sent an email to confirm RPRF had been received
April 25, 2017. Upfront Medical Examination
June 2, 2017. Medical examination passed

Now, no more waiting for MER. Only wait for the final decision.

Hope PPR will come as soon as possible. 16 months is harsh.

Please I'm also in the same shoe as you now, I checked my cic account 2days ago and found out that medical status changed to " we have requested for a medical exam. Check the message below for details" but no message was attached. Please how did go about yours then?
