Hi Southkoreanlightening,

May I ask if you have served any military services in the past?I doubt if that's the reason why your security check took so long. Thanks.

Hello everyone.
I have a question...I am November aplicant 2016,already passed Medical .
Now I took vocation for 2 months and not working. It's going affect on my application?
I just thinking if I not working now and not paying tax maybe the officer can see it when they do security check..
Thanks ....

I think so. Because when I called for the first time at the end of October, the agent said that my son and wife background have already checked and everything was fine, and for almost 4 months I'm still waiting for them to finish checking my background. I served in the army before

I see...that's definitely a factor, so are previous government positions or special services. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Everyone
I am April 18,2016 applicant(Skilled Worker) , still waiting , No DM , No PPR.

I am from India and have a clean record , no army ,no other problem. Still background check is taking too long . My medicals were already done and passed in November 2016. I am in Canada since 2011.

I never imagined my case will be delayed significantly . Feel very disappointed since my career is getting adversely affected as most jobs favour permanent residents and citizens.

I pray that all people in this forum (including me) can get patience to survive this kind of delay and god willing , get pr soon.

At 11 they were taking 17 months of processing time on average.....now at 18 i was wondering they will take 25 months......as i see most people already crossed 22 months without any result
