March 2016 application still waiting
But I got married in 2017 so I included my wife name in the application this might be one of the reason for delay.
Got a email last week saying my file is under final review(not sure how long this gonna take)

It's a long weekend in canada so that's one reason we didn't see any update from immigration today I guess.

Hi group, my BOWP is expiring in 2 weeks ( kidding not), hopefully I'll get PPR in a week or two ( I already got DM last Saturday), do I still need to apply for another BOWP ( for the implied status) while waiting for a counterfoil and landing later on? Can I renew my SIN and health card with the PPR in hand? I live in Alberta.

You need to be on implied status till you do your landing. That means that even if you get your PPR today, you still have to consider the time it will take to send your passport to Ottawa, get it stamped, have it returned to you and do your landing. My guess is it will take you more than 2 weeks for that.

My advise, apply for an extension of your work permit now. The good news is that there is a 70-day delay for work permit processing so it is likely you will become PR before your work permit gets processed, which mean you can withdraw it (the work permit) and get a refund back.:)

What about the SIN card and health card ? Do they accept either PPR or implied status ?

For the health card, you qualify for a one-time 90-day extension. As per the SIN card, I am not sure what happens with that but I don't think it should be a problem.
Thank you for your advice. I’ll double check with ‘em tomorrow. If i have more information, definitely will share with everyone here too.
