here's my story:

I submitted my bridging work permit application on July 28 and it has already passed the processing time of 80 days.
My main concern is that I am visiting Pakistan from Nov 26 - Dec 15, and I will need a visa to come back from Pakistan. Bought the tickets and everything planned out [long distance marriage, husband coming from Australia so that we can both meet there].

Initially I forgot but later I provided IMM5257 Schedule 1 via WebForm on 08/08/2017 which was forwarded it to the responsible office on 15/08/2017. (because there was an option to provide this form when I was uploading my other supporting documents. so I thought this is all what is needed for the visa)
I called the CIC Call Centre about it on Tuesday and first I was told that my days will count starting 15/08/2017 (which showed his lack of knowledge as that was an optional doc and my application was originally complete) and then he said I cannot apply for the work permit and visa in one application therefore he would discard the Schedule 1 that was submitted later.

now I don't know what to do.

I think you can just apply a visa and provide the receipt of your WP application coz schedule 1 doesnt really give you a visa via WP you have really need to apply and when its done they will ask your passport to stamp the visa coz when you applied WP they are not asking for your passport so i doesnt matter with your WP it really need to be different application and you can also write a letter of explanation that you applied for WP..

I am from SINP -Students who have graduated from a Saskatchewan through Job Offer category.
I am with Open work permit but employment restriction on PNP Certificate.
Do you still think, we can leave jobs and do nothing until PPR?

i m not too sure about employment restriction
i have pnp without employment restriction asked cic agent she said federal dont care about your employment as long as you got approved pnp

i havent work since i got AOR, been like 15 months already, called them last week they said,"everything looks good, nothing needed from my side, waiting for final review"

even asked them if i can move back to my home country, they said i can just let them know so they can send ppr to home country, and it wont effect they decision

just really sad with the new deadline you guys got from call agents...it was November, now got pushed back to next spring. I tried to call them earlier, but same message "we're experiencing...blah blah blah...try again later". I can't even rant with my close family anymore, they said they're sick of me crying about this PR thing, that me telling them how much I want to give up and go back home Sometimes I wish I could just say "f*** this shit, I'm going back home", pack my bag and go travel.....but I have been here almost 7.5 years now, don't wanna see all those efforts go to waste

Hi, if I move to my home country should I let them know this before ppr or can I tell them to send ppr to home country after ppr is generated? Thanks

Aug 2015 applicant, PNP inland, Still waiting for PPR! Everything is passed except CBSA..
My WP is expiring in next Feb. I am working in another province so I cant get a new support letter from the province I got nominated. Anyone has a first hand experience in this? What CIC wants for bridging WP?

I have already written a letter to my constituency's MP and cc'ed The Honourable Ahmed D. Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship in it. I explained the following points in the letter:

1) Long delays by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) in processing of Paper based Permeant Residence applications
2) Incorrect information about the processing times on IRCC website, and
3) Lack of responsibility in responding to the applicants by IRCC staff

The MP's staff will arrange my meeting with the MP of my area when he is back from Ottawa.

I am planning to use different examples from this forum to present the case, how the delay is affecting the applicants? and how the IRCC does not seem to be responsible enough to communicate properly with the applicants?

Please let me know if any of the members have any issue using their example to the MP!

I am also continuously letting the minister and IRCC know about our issue through social media. Even though I haven't gotten any reply on social media, I am sure that they look at those messages.

I request you all to do the same, whether it is the communication with your MP or on social media like FB/Twitter etc...

No MP can do anything with the immigration files. The only person can change is Ahmed D. Hussen, Minister of Immigration. Every MP does same bullshit. Just my personal thought

hope mine too as i dont have access to gc key and dont know what is going on after MR..call cic just the prompt msg but my i did not hear anything about bG..but just a question will it be eligibility 1st before BG?..coz it says when i call that they are checking my eligibility..

You can work now,just show the PDF document to your employee that it has been approved
