Once, you are on an open work permit you should be good.I have friends who changed jobs on their open work permit and have not updated PNP. It's up to you if you want to update PNP/IRCC but I would. Once, you have a job that would normally qualify for PNP (full time etc.), you should be good.

Hi All,

My profile is as below:

Submit App: 18th Apr, 2016
AOR: 24 Jul, 2016
MR: 2nd May, 2016
Request from CIC to send updated Sch A : 12th Aug, 2017 (As per my timeline my background check should change to in process between 12-18 Aug, 2017) CIC asked to submit updated Sch A by 12th Sep,2017 through my CIC.
Updated Sch A uploaded to my CIC: 14th Aug, 2017
BG: N/A

I switched my job with another company in July 2016 and asked CIC they said they don't need new job offer letter at this point. So I did not informed SINP about my job change thinking this would delay my CIC application.Although I provided my new job information to this newly submitted sch A.
Now I applied for revision of my SINP letter just in case CIC later asked for that as I have provided this information in my sch A form that I have changed my job.

I did call to CIC they said security check yet to be started and everything looks good and they don't need anything. MP inquiry shows eligibility completed, uploaded sch A to be reviewed by CIC and security check not started yet. I have gone back to my home country in July 2017 for about a month. What could be the reason they asked to update my sch A? My visit to home country or job change?Should I submit revised SINP approval letter to CIC as soon as I get it or wait until CIC ask for it.

They usually ask for updated schedule A for the following reasons:

1. They maybe about to do your criminality/background and you had gaps in your timeline (history/activities)

2. They maybe want to extend your medical validity and want to know which countries you have travelled durin your PR Process. If you have travelled to certain countries, they will issue a new medical request.

I do not think you have much to worry about. Just be honest and cover all your tracks.I think since you have provided the new job details on the schedule A, you are good with IRCC but if you want you may upload the new SINP letter and explain that you have changed jobs (Case specific enquiry). In that way, the officer can update both SINP letter and new schedule A sametime. Moreover, you have updated SINP.

background varies depending on your individual profile (type of jobs worked), the officer reviewing and the country you are.The less countries you have visited/lived maybe a positive.

Will they ask about jobs... i mean will they call employers or contact with pnp to confirm that applicant is still working with the same company from where he or she applied PR?
