guys, I need help!!
So my post grad work permit expired and I applied and was approved for an open work permit. Do I have to notify cic about this? How do I do this?

I tried going through IRCC but they sent me back an email saying I have to fill out a form: Verification of Status or Replacement of an Immigration Document. However, when I looked it up on cic Helpdesk, it says: "Complete this form if you need proof of historical immigration information, such as your date and place of entry to Canada." I don't need to prove my historical immigration information but rather to update cic on my new work permit!!

I'm sure there must be applicants whose work permit expired and they applied for new ones. Please help. TIA!!!
Hi there,

My post grad work permit expired back in Feb as well. I also applied for an open work permit.

I did not notify CIC, it doesn't seem like we have to report that either. It's only for you to extend your status legally.

then me @nvpatel4u (4-Apr-2016)
@wicaact (6-Apr-2016)

Some of the members posted about their Background Status change to In process recently.

Seniors members,

My docs were received by CIO on June 18, 2017 (PNP paper based applicant) so when to expect to receive my AOR? Thanks

I hope we will get DM soon, my US visa is expiring in mid August, I really don't want to waste more money in this process ...

I really hope some of the April applicants get DM or PPR today. It has been a long way. In express entry although they say 6 months most people get PR in just 3-4 months. However in our case although they say 16 months, it surely takes 15-24 months. Why this disparity ... I'm tired of complaining.

No more hope from cic...any june or july got med yet????
They are taking 13 monthd for med and 4 months after that......
Dont know what is cic doing ......
