Hello ahmad8686,

I am in the same situation as you. I received my AOR on 6th January 2017 and my new child was born on the 23rd of JAnuary. In March, I raised a case specific enquiry and uploaded the following documents: Updated Generic application form, updated additional family information (Me and my spouse), Updated Schedule A (Me and my spouse), baby's biodata page. baby's birth certificate, baby's passport photo (digital), receipt for CAD150.

After one month, I got a response that they have received it and will forward it to the visa office handling my application but they suggest I should also contact the visa office. Meanwhile, before I got the response, I already sent an email to the visa office handling my file and told them I have a new child and I have raised a case specific enquiry and uploaded those documents. In their response, they said I shuld send those documents. Apparently, it means that they did not even bother to take note of the fact that I have uploaded those documents in the CSE.

I had to update those documents again to bear the most recent date (last one was done in MArch 2017) and sent them via courier yesterday. Maybe the initial uploads I did with the CSE might be enough to update my file, I dont know, but the delay is getting too much and the VO gave me 60 days to get those documents to them and I've wasted almost 30 days waiting for the response to the initial CSE.

I hope my story helps you decide how to go about yours.

Cheerz

Congratulations and Best of Luck for your future.

I wanted to know about how did you presented your proof of funds to the immigration officers was it in form of travellers cheque or did you opened a bank account in canada from your home country and did wire transfer in that account.

Even in which province did you got PR for?

Thank you sunnygshah !

Regarding the proof of funds, prior to our landing, I learned that when you applied under a certain category, with close relative sponsorship, you will not be asked to show any proof of funds upon landing. True enough, on our landing, nobody asked us about funds, but yeah I carried some foreign cash to Canada for our settlement funds. It was on our 2nd day in Canada when I had the time to open my first ever Canadian bank account. :) ;D

I applied under MPNP.

MAY 19 applicant . waiting for medical

April 14 applicant still waiting for Medical Request. Don't know what is going on with CIC. So, it's not 12 months anymore that previously people waited for medical request ?

I would advice anyone waiting for medicals to do upfront medicals in my case I did upfront and I'm may applicant now I got my PPR with 12months not even up to 12months.

Do upfront medicals won't affect our application , it will make the process faster .

Again if you don't feel like doing it you don't have to but if you do it you will thank me later.

Wish you all the best.

Bye

Thanks for the advice. Could you share your timeline?

I am April 21 applicant and still waiting for the MR. I was hoping to get it before April, but it seems that it won't be the case since April 14 people are still waiting. I called a couple clinics in Vancouver but they won't do an upfront exam...

Hi there,

Which clinic you went?
