Here is my time line.
1.We received your application for permanent residence on March 3, 2016.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Aug 2, 2016.
3.We started processing your application on Aug 18, 2016.
4.Got request for PRPF fee and bio copy of passport with medical request and done the same day
5.Medical results have been received. (I got medical request on Aug 22,16 and made 5 Sep, 2016)
And I checked my CIC on Oct,19,2016, the Background changed to "in progress".

I need help. Those who are PNP and got their passports back with stamping, have u guys landed yet? Do v need to land in the nominated province itself for the first time?

I am a NSNP candidate and I have received PPR for stamping. I may expect the passports in 10 days. I was just checking to book my air tickets for short landing as my Medicals are going to expire on 24th March. I am planning to land in Toronto? Can I do it?

I need your expert comments plz??

No, You have to land in the same province who nominated you.

to those how passed the Medical (Medical status turned to "Passed") after 5 jan
did any one of you his "A background check is needed" turned to "Not needed" instead of "Not started"

My AOR was on 11 Nov. - Paper based App.
and MR& RPRF was in 07 Dec. and VO is Ottawa
and I Passed the medical on 5 Jan and my background not started till now
Is that normal for Ottawa VO ??? , I started to worry

No, You have to land in the same province who nominated you.

I don't think it's true, you have to show that your final destination is province of nomination. Like you land in Toronto and have a flight or drive to Saskatchewan if that's your PNP province. I think Saskatchewan won't even have international airport if it has then frequency would be too low to be affordable.

I have posted that cz one of my known faced the problem he was nominated under OINP somehow went to Vancouver to visit his friends,the officials at the airport said as this is your first entry you have to make an exit in Ontario.

So that is all I know about the case,as have not talked to my know yet as he is busy setting up his life there.

People applied in February 16 are getting medicals.myself applied in may 16 nothing yet.... u applied on july 16 and u got everything done ur vo is so fast....

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has any updates on their PR status from the federal government that applied back in May 2016. My husband and i did ours then and we got our AOR/UCI in november. Now waiting on federal government whenever we check the status it always says in process. We have paid all our fees, medical and police records but we have no updates. Not express entry. does anyone know how long it may take?

I had paid my RPRF fees and sent the receipt and scanned copy of passport again a month back as per the instructions of the mail from VO still no confirmation from their end. So, is it normal or they do reply to such mails.

If anyone facing the same thing please tell me what you did to get confirmation from the.
