I kinda remember some mentioned that in the forum that if you got the nomination, the acceptance rate is around 98% (I assume 2% due to non-diligent information or something with background check/crime?) and the old CEC was around 70%?

CEC means - Canadian Experience Class.
It is another kind of immigration - You need to acquire some experience in Canada working or studying.

Just found out that in my PR Application, Background Check status which was shown "Review In Progress" for a long time has now been changed to "not needed at this time". does anybody has a clue about this?

Thanks. It could have been earlier than two months of receiving MR. I received PPR on 1st of Nov 16 but actually posted passports in late November and got Passports back with visa after a week of submitting passports to Visa application centre.

As a PNP applicant, I will have to land in Saskatoon via Toronto in next year, probably in April/May 17.

Thanks Laura for the advice. Certainly, that was not meant to offend anyone. Sorry, if you felt that way...
Being Canadian also mean that people follow rules and regulations. This can be started by following proper group for ones application so that everyone benefits from it. It is really difficult to follow people's timelines when there's a huge gap between the application dates. That's the purpose of having different pages
