The agent said 18 weeks is more likely to be a way to stop us from phoning cic. They just want us to be patient. The actual processing time should be shorter than that based on current situation. I think CIC agent might not have proper access to the application in CIO. The only way I can think about to check is asking the agent about whether the application fee has been recovered. If they can tell the status of the application fee, that might be a good indicator because based on the link below, the application fee will not be recovered until it meets completeness check.HiCanadiano said:Thanks for your kind explanation. I phoned them to see if there is any possibility of my application being returned as of today but they said they have the application for now. They did not want to tell me if they have it or not but I was kinda begging as my WP will expire in 8 days so I need to find a way to extend it. And the agent thankfully let me know the application is with them adding that it usually takes 18 weeks to get AOR.
