Hey Guys, I'm Ainp nominated(Inland) from Edmonton....Right now, preparing for my federal application... please explain me what the RCMP police clearance process is?....what documents i need to get it done..will they give me clearance letter or will they directly send it to CIC?...Thanks
Hi, Im in Calgary, I had my digital fingerprint recorded in downtown calgary in the same building where US visa office/embassy located, and they will help you send the copy to RCMP and you only need to pay fees, really simple. For Edmonton, just check some place that can record digital fingerprint, I think they can do it for you.
Good luck!

Are you required to submit Canadian police certificate up front? I was under the impression that CIC would ask me at a later stage. I only submitted the PCC from my home country in my application.

I agree with you.
"You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide a valid police certificate for each country other than Canada, in which you have spent six or more months since the age of 18"

Hi,
I am from Calgary as well. Just so you know you do not need the RCMP certificate. Read the fine print in the checklist and the application guide.
