My consulate didn’t give me that information that nobody can hold two passports... it could be possible in other countries (as urs) but not in india for ordinary citizens... that’s y I wrote as I know ... i gave my point of what I know... and the person i was telling is also an Indian citizen... so ...... thanks for information thoughHey happygarcha,
In Ukraine by law you can have two valid passports
Why?
1) New biometric passports appeared this year. With them you do not need visa to Europe
2) New passport is valid longer than old
3) Ability to travel to conflicting countries. Example, you will not be able to travel to Abhazia if you have Georgia stamp in your passport
4) More space for visas and stamps
It is either India does not allow this or the person at your consulate did not know
I applied for my passport in toronto, consul gave it back right away
