Cic received my medical and it's showing in my timeline , but it's expired on July .. june 27 2016 I applied in cic .. can someone tell me what happened when cic received medical but it's expired before PPR .. thanks in advance
if your medical is less than 15 months, they usually extend it. Sometimes, they will ask to fill out a new schedule A and then decide whether to extend it depending on where you have traveled. If you did not leave Canada or traveled to certain countries, then they will extend it. The fact medical received is still showing maybe an indication that is has been extended.

May 2015 or 2016 ?
If u apply with ur spouse since beginning then there should be considered regular processing time.

Here people are waiting over processing time who add spouse in their file latter on.

I asked this question and got the answer today..
Enquiry:

Respected Sir/Mad, I am writing this to have some suggestions from you so I don't get into any trouble. I have applied for Permanent Resident through PNP program. The date on my file is April 20, 2016. I have received mail for medical exam on May 01, 2017 and it got updated in my file on May 21, 2017. It has been more than 16 months but I am still waiting for passport submission request. I need to go to India for my sister's wedding. I have booked the flights accordingly, and my departure date is October 16,2017. Unfortunately, my multiple entry visa has been expired on July, 2015 and I never renewed that as I did not need that. I am in a big dilemma now if I should wait for the passport request or I should apply for multiple entry visa. I tried to call CIC several times but I could not reach representative. Kindly suggest me the best way to encounter this situation. . I will attach the PDF copy of the ticket if I have any option on next page as part of the evidence. I hope you will suggest me the best action to get out of this situation. You have a beautiful day..!! Thanks, Harsh

Good day Harshkumar Patel,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

When you are in Canada, maintaining a legal temporary status is an important requirement. This is also applicable while your permanent residence application is being reviewed, for yourself and every family member already with you in Canada.

The entry stamp in your passport or your temporary resident document (work permit, study permit, visitor record or temporary resident permit (TRP)) will indicate until what date you can remain in Canada. If your status is about to expire, you can ask for an extension. You may need to extend your status more than once during the process of your permanent residence application.

Submitting an application

To extend your status, you may apply online or by mail.

When applying by mail, we recommend reading the instruction guide first. It will assist you in completing and submitting your application.

You are in Canada as a temporary resident and would like to know if you can leave Canada and come back?

To return to Canada, you will need your:

If you are from a country whose citizens need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to travel to Canada, you will also need a valid TRV to return, unless you:

  • Will visit only to the United States* or St-Pierre and Miquelon, and
  • Return before your status expires.

If you are a citizen of a TRV-exempt country and plan to return to Canada by air, you may need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). If you received an initial study or work permit:

  • Before August 1, 2015, you will need to apply for an eTA,
  • On or after August 1, 2015, you will automatically be issued an eTA along with your permit.

When you renew your study or work permit, an eTA is not automatically renewed or issued. You may need to apply for one separately. We invite you to consult the following pages for more information:

*Including its Territories and Possessions.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Sincerely,

Vicki, Agent 3594

Any suggestions..? If I should apply for multiple entry visa or I should wait for PPR..?
is your background in process? If I were in your position and I need to travel in a month's time, I would apply for the visa to be safe. The current processing time says 11 days (Visa in Canada) but you also have to account for delivery time back and forth.

It is advisable to apply for TRV. As you have less than 2 months to travel. I will suggest that you apply for your TRV as soon as possible. It is better to spend the extra money instead of be in dilemma. If the PR comes before October, it is well and good, otherwise, your mind is at rest with TRV.
