There are no emails. I check my email everyday.
I just checked ECAS. It says following:
We received your application for permanent residence on April 1, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 5, 2016.
We started processing your application on May 6, 2016.
no but I read a few cases where outland applicants are also getting their updates quicker as compared... so just wondering.ashuindian said:R u in Canada now?
Hey buddy, dont rush. Who got AOR in March/April 2016 are still waiting for Medicals. Now it takes 7 to 9 months for Medical request. So no need to be panic and wish you good lucklehbes said:Nope.....

I have exactly the same timeline. I am waiting for MR.
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,

Yes, they also asked me for criminal background check based on fingerprints.Pepper88 said:Sounds cool! Did the cic asked you for the criminal background check based on fingerprints too?
I did not expect this docs to be requested and it takes 3 weeks to wait for the result from ottawa. If I just knew it that they will request for this docs, I should've requested it earlier. But, what can we do but to do it and patiently wait for the best. I will keep you posted.
Received PPR today Nov. 17, 2016one2much said:Hi Megantot16,
A friend of mine received the AOR in the form of a message in myCIC and not the traditional PDF attachment.
Know a few more guys that received AOR through myCIC but none that has received it on an email.
Could it be that you have a new message and did not notice it?
Cheers!
Congratulations. What a magic! They mention their processing time is 15-16 months and you have got it in 5 months.Megantot16 said:Received PPR today Nov. 17, 2016

I would assume that the old passport is invalid in this case. so renew a ppt. submit under the specific case online that you changed your ppt. No need to resubmit the form but just the ppt info.yusef88 said:hi!
I may need some help here.
We, my common law and our son are currently waiting for PPR. Unfortunately, my common-laws' passport was unintentionally mutilated by our 4 year old son. He wrote something on the 1st page of the passport. I know we have to renew the passport, but my question is:
1.) What will I do on the CIC side.
2.) Do I have to send a new CIC form with the new passport number?
3.) Should I send it thru mail or just a Web form (Specific Case)?
Please help..
Thank you!
Thank you for the help Qi!Qi said:I would assume that the old passport is invalid in this case. so renew a ppt. submit under the specific case online that you changed your ppt. No need to resubmit the form but just the ppt info.
(my boyfriend's ppt is expiring but submitted to CIC the old number, asked the immigration agency they said just submit the new info. online when get the new ppt.) I guess it's the same procedure...
Or, call CIC after you submitted the corrected info online.
I am not sure the procedure now. When i did mine in 2013~2014 it took only 2 months from submitting files to cic and got medical request, and waited another 8 months till ppr/landing. My friend said the procedure changed to the way that medical came in the end right before PPT request...she took her medical few weeks ago, havent got PPR yet.. so...yusef88 said:Thank you for the help Qi!
I will do that.
Do you know how long it takes from medical to PPR? just rough estimate. Because it will take 2-3 weeks to renew a passport.
