What do you ask when you call CIC? "Could you tell me the status of my application?"

Yes, they will ask you the reason for your call. Just be polite and say that your calling to know the status of your application as it has been 15 months.

We received the ppr email today morning. We are June 29th, 2015 applicants.

I just called CIC, and nice lady just told me what I already knew. All passed and just waiting for officer for final review. She didn't say when it could happen and didn't give a date about couple months or December or anything like that.
Hopefully if today we are seeing people from June 29th, today or tomorrow we might see people from June 30th and July 1st and forward.
Let's see. Looks like another day has to passed

June 29th Applicant got PPR email early morning.

Question: I did not receive a separate email for my wife. Do I send an email about this to CIC, if someone has done that please confirm ?

If your wife in Canada with you, you should not get any separate email. They send separate email only if your wife resides in other country. I received separate email for my dependents 130 mins later than I received my Ready for VISA email....
