at least in two days you can call them as you will hit the 15th month.... and have some answers, or who knows, maybe in two days you get your PPR

It's very frustrating....this morning I called CIC and in my second attempt I got to know that my background check security has been completed very recently but my application is still waiting for a decision to be rendered.

when?? IF there are people like you who applied on early June!!! how long is gonna take them to make a decisiion?? so I am sure you application is complete and ready but just on a pile of application they dont want to finish....just like mine.

I can't understand this. All our lifes stopped, frozen until they decide is time for us to be free.....

Thanks for understanding.
I will make sure i call cic when i hit 15 months.
And i will let u know if there is any new info.
Having u guys around make me cheer up and move on.
Thank you everyone!

HI all,

I need your valuable input on my situation .
I have received SINP nomination on March 16 and My PR application is in process.
My SINP nomination will be expiring on 29-Sep-16.
1.Since my PR application is in process Could you please guide me how to extend & procedure for PNP nomination extension .
2.If we have extend PNP nomination,do we need to update to CIC with new extended PNP details.

Could you please request your inputs on above points.

Thank you in advance for your time and help

I do not think, you need to extend your PNP nomination, my ontario nomination expired since January, and CIC know about this....

The expiry date of SINP is for "applying" for PR.
Once you applied before the expiry date; you are good.
No need to worry.

Has your background check changed to in progress in myCIC account? Maximum time for PPR after that change has been a month and a half. And I'm saying maximum, it could be less.

Hi all,

I applied for my PR in June 2015 after being nominated by Ontario. I got married in April 2016, and I added her in my PR application. Today I received an email from CPCO to send my passport. But I have a concern: although I had my medical done in July 2016, CIC hasnot asked yet for my wife's medical. Moreover, when I added her, she was not having any canada visa but now she is in Canada on SOWP. What should I do? Is it possible that CIC can issue PR without her medical examination or this is a glitch from their end?

Please suggest...
Thanks in advance!!

When did you apply in June? Inland?

I think you should write an email to cic letting them know about your wife. I don't think they will issue a PR without having done the medical exam.

Did she have a medical exam done when getting her SOWP?

Yes, she did but I didnot provide any application number or UCI of her Work Permit application while adding her to my PR application.

could you let us know when CIC received your application??

I do believe that you should send an email to cic, to the address they provide in the PPR email, letting them know about your wife situation. Probably they will tell you what to do, or even say that all is fine and send passports for both. But you have to tell them. Otherwise you could get your application delay or who knows.
