Don't worry. In a matter of days you will have your PPR. I can smell the PPR rains :D

Hi Mishti,

I think you are right, PPR will be coming!
Just checked MyCIC account and Background Check is now "In Progress".

Good thing that they are now looking into our files now.. :)

Yeah things seem to be falling in place. I am wondering if we really need to fear the Canada Post strike. In the worst case scenario of a strike, they can always ask the applicants to use other courier services.

Actually, I'm a little bit anxious however I believe that IRCC have backup plan for that possible Canada Post strike.

A strike will not last forever, maybe a week or two. So they should still work on our PR applications strike or not strike. They may just hold on sending out passport requests and COPR to visa exempt applicants.

I think that they are just having:

1) lots of applications to work on;
2) summer holidays sto they are short on staff;
3) refugees;
4) Express entry applicants have priority on PNP.

Went over CIC website and they have an advisory regarding Canada Post services interruption.

Hi Mishti,

I've checked my notes and nothing indicated on both details.

However, this past few days I kept on researching on how to interpret GCMS notes and here's the links.
- http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html (Eagle333 did a detailed explanation)

- https://docs.google.com/document/d/17KrJmBgFUS4UakcSu8ecSQnZn0z9UGmxc9oJ7WOP4LM/mobilebasic?pli=1

By the way, assigned to is not a person instead it is the Visa Office so RC-6262 is CIO.

Is it good or bad if a S.26 shown in top right corner of Eligibility, Medical, Criminal and Security sections.

Hi yaanlpc,

You should not worry about it. :)

Mine is s.26 under Security. Eagle333 said that if s.15 it is most likely that Security Check is already done.

If you read the CIC page of 2011 when Canada Post Strike happened, they've clearly issued instructions that the applicants should use other courier services. The people who will really be affected will be the ones who have their documents midway when the strike happens.
