I delayed my landing for this proof of funds (account to be opened in CAD from outside and transferring funds instead of converting money in travellers check) but here was the conversation on funds:
Officer1: Dealing with my paper work, started to fill my COPR.
Officer2: Came to help officer1 as one other family came for landing. So at this time he asked officer1 about the money/funds he needs to verify. Officer1 said its not required.

So it all depends on officer.

Hmm.. I have a question: so what happens if let's say you don't have enough funds (only $1000 or something like that) on your bank account when landing, if you're an inland applicant and you do have a job offer and everything? They won't validate PR?

You can quote the amount until end of any year you will get from your office. That is your fund.

But definitely you have show you employment letter and recent payslip to prove this.

Hi guys, im looking forward few suggestions from you, there is a person waiting for PR for 17 months now, from gcmc notes it shows that there is no visa officer assigned for file, whenever we call CIC they say under review....

Anyone had gone through same situation plz help to overcome from this situation

What means PCC?

Sorry my ignorance!

I'm an inland from Singapore which is a visa exempt country.

I had to wait for a letter from CIC before I could request for a PCC from home. So That took a while to do.

My file too had no officer assigned and one other person i remember did not have but got ppr. So this is not an issue.
what does the gcms say on eligibility, medical and criminality? Is any of these pending?
