Hi guys,

I want to feel confident that next week we will see a resume in the delivery of PPR emails.

I do believe that they might have gone on vacation, but at the same time I have noticed something. They have delivered Medical request to many applicants from October and September. I dont think they just send MR without checking any other things in your application. I think all is connected as long as they check our applications.

So I think that because they have so few people working on so many applications, on mid June, they stopped working on those applications so they could focus on the next batch. I think they have worked on Oct and Sept applications and today they finished as many as they planned and sent medical request. Now those applicants can schedule their Medical exams (which might take up to 2 / 3 weeks ) and they can go back to work with Mid june applicants and then july , etc...

I have seen people getting MR from a bracket of 3 weeks, Sept 3rd to Sept 21st....

This is just a theory, I wish I were right and next monday we can see new PPR emails.

I want to believe you, but I also have a strong belief that the part of the reason why we are not getting PPRs is because of the Canada Post strike. Look organizations like CIC have contracts with mailing companies. Being a government organization, they are bound to use a government mailing agency like Canada Post. They cant give our PPR emails right now because of the uncertainty which Canada Post showed regarding how long there strike will go on for as you only have 30 days until they send out an email to you for PPR.

Even if they decide to go for a private company like UPS, they have to sign a new contract for certain amount of time, certain thousands of dollars, which they wont because the systems they use only support Canada Post and they will never change it!

I disagree. and the only reason I disagree is because the applicant pays for the whole mailing process. it's not like they hire Canada post to send or receive any mail. They ask the applicant to send documents using Canada post and to send another pre-paid envelope so they dont have to spend a penny.

whoever is right, I just hope they start to send ppr emails next week pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee

you are right, but you never know, may be Canada Post used for their internal file transfer from this office to that office, and that is why they have a policy to send PPR only via Canada Post.
I am trying to say, we can only see the use of Canada Post while PPR, but there might be many services they are providing based on contract and PPR is just one part of their whole contract...

Anyways, "whoever is right, I just hope they start to send ppr emails next week pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee" this is the best :D

No. It's not official yet. They've proposed the alternatives. If nothing comes through, they'll start strike from July 6th. I hope it gets normal ASAP.

still this bullshit about Canada Post strike affecting CIC... For visa exempt applicants like me they just need to send COPR via email and no stamping... so I do not see how can that affect applicants... They would still process the PRs and people would send passports for stamping once the short strike (if any) is past... The truth is that holiday season is kicking in and they are slowing down and finalizing less applications thus a longer waiting time for June applicants..

It's a lot of sad stories, we are still waiting in this thread (April, May June). looks like we need to keep an eye on July applicants who also have a PNP July 2015 therad. no idea how long all of us will be cleared.

To be honest, I was thinking I could land before July 1. so disappointed with CIC's efficiency.
