PNP - PR - April-May-June 2015 Applicants!

Most of us who completed our landing and became a PR is not active on the forum anymore, but I thought I should come and give you a healthy dose of motivation. I know most of your application is getting delayed due to the Canada Post Strike, but keep your hopes alive, your PPR shall come soon! Sooner or later it is on its way, be patient. All the best to the remaining June applicants awaiting their PPR.

BTW my status changed on CIC a/c from "Open" to "Closed" and Final Decison as>>> "This Application has been Approved "..
So eagerly waiting my passport to be delivered after Canada post strike.
I hope so it's over soon...

I really hoping that July 8 2016 will be the date for us since the officers are back to work and finish their long vacation. Canada post is now on strike and after July 5th that we will have more details about how to pick other couriers and hopfully that won't be too hard to do... A bright futures is coming and happy canada day to us all .

You're most welcome Rocky. Your status change is a clear sign that you don't need to worry anymore. Your passport will be coming soon.

I just checked my ECAS yesterday out of curiosity. When my application was approved it said 'Decision Made' and now it says 'Complete' and also a 5th line has been added Feeling so releived.

We received your application for permanent residence on June 10, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 21, 2015.
We started processing your application on August 21, 2015.
Medical results have been received.
You entered Canada at the Emerson office on June 21, 2016 and became a Permanent Resident.

Hello everyone,

My post-graduate work permit expire July 3, 2016. I plan to send all my work permit extension paper package June 29, 2016 by UPS, but I am not sure whether CIC can get it by July 3. Which date matters to CIC? Expire date (July 3) or mail date (June 29)?

You should definitely apply online rather than taking of the risk to send it by mail now unless your application reaches CIC office by July 3rd.

CIC considers the date of application received so if they receive your application after your work permit expires...then you can't work while you are waiting for a decision on your application...but if you apply online today then you will be under implied status and can work under the same conditions as your current (to be expired) work permit.

or

If you have a valid TRV visa...and all other work permit extension documents..then only you can go to the US/Canadian border and get your work permit there (it might be close only).

"Proof that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered (required)" What does this mean? Which document should I upload to this?

What kind of job are you doing? Does it require any license or particular certificate or registration?

and Do you have a work permit support letter from your province.

In my case, my job didn't require any licensing etc. so I just uploaded my transcript/graduation certificate showing my study is relevant to my job and that's how I meet the requirement.

But, one of my friend just uploaded PNP support letter since that letter also proves that you meet the requirements or are eligible ..

In my case, I had my PNP and a work permit support letter. I just showed them I got my PNP based on my job and a work permit support letter from the province saying that my work permit needs to be extended.
