Costco only put stamp on one of my pictures...so I left the other one totally blank...

I sent everything already...

Bought Costco membership...got pictures done there...they only stamped one of the pictures and I put my dob and name only on the stamped picture too and left the other one totally blank...and sent the express post envelope with everything in it...

Hopefully everything will be ok..

Got PPR email this morning - June 14th

Background check is still "not required" but I saw my application was updated instead of submitted...

My background checks are still "not needed at this time". OMG I don't know how long that gonna take now. But I don't know why It says in general that we have not received an application for pr. Lol

Below text copied from Cic web:
"Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence."

Its too early for you to be expecting your PPR, u should start your expectations in late august. If your the lucky one, you can even get PPR earlier.

I haven't even received MR yet. So Ye I know it's very early. But my understanding was Cic works on background checks by this time coz I am in 9-10 months from date of application. And so expected to have review in progress for my BG.

No, at this time they will actually determine if your eligible for the PR based on the information you provided.

The day your BG status changes to in-progress, you expect your PPR in the next 2-3 days.
That is the current trend.

I sent, 15 days ago, the document required to CIC both by mail and email (upload) but they still don't answer me if they have received them. Should I be concerned, or it's just the way they go?

sometimes they dont answer. I sent my my PCC and RPRF and they didnt say they got it. I just got that email when I sent proof of having taken the medical check. So dont worry. I am sure they have it.

Hmmm... I'm November applicant inland and have BG status "in progress", MR upfront May 10
It's not trend may be

hi, if you follow this months forum, 90% people whose BG changed to in-progress in MyCIC got their PPR the next day.

Maybe for the 10 % its not true.
