But, while landing, I wouldn't have any valid work permit, does it affect?

You will be on implied status at that time and just take your expired work permit along with new work permit application payment receipt and confirmation receipt (if you apply online) or mail tracking receipt/payment receipt for paper application as a proof that you have applied for your work permit and currently hold implied status...and after you are done with your landing process...you can ask border officer to cancel your work permit application ...

June 16 Applicant received PPR today.

I got a mail late sunday night saying there's been changes made to my cic account and when I logged in "backgroud check" changed from "not in need" to "in progress" and today in the morning I received PPR.

1. Congrats. I thought you might have received passport and copr long back.
2. Looks like visa office is busier than ottawa (delay in #1 also points to it) hence it might be coming little late.
Thanks Hori. In ppr mail and passport return envelope cic stamped as urgent but nothing is going as urgent. As I need to land on or before July 11, I need my daughter's visa urgently.

Any idea on how long it takes for the Return tracker activation? How do you check when it is activated? By going to canadapost.ca and putting the tracking number?

Can you email ottawa office (CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca) and explain the situation as Ottawa is going to stamp for her (for US residents). They respond in 1-2 days. I dont think its going to be negative as your have urgency and many had reached out directly without even ppr email with their genuine reason.
Jul 11 is short for planning half way around the world and one visa is yet to be issued.

They told me that they are communicating with their New York office. I did not mailed New York office. But yesterday I phoned call center. Agent attended my phone told me that, no such thing in my file and he has nothing to do and advise me to my visa office.

Exactly - Call center agents wont help many times.I would say you should forward the email you sent to your manila office to Ottawa to resolve it. We are not bugging them without any reason or we are actually simplifying their work - dont know where the requests are in place - possibly going in circles before reaching Ottawa. Only 4 weeks left - its going to be very tight schedule, dont know if you can really wait for more time.
At least clarify asking your manila to tell if you can land first while waiting for her visa (in the worst case). Please have it in email.

I am not sure if its going to New York office or Ottawa office. I know that for all PR applications they process in Ottawa for stamping (same like for inland). If you think you should contact NY office then please raise cse soon to that office.

So again June applicants got stuck no sign of ppr.

I recived my gcms notes still criminalaty and security in progress its very frustrating.i already applied for a extension can't trust the cic to send ppr for me at the moment.

Good luck rest of the june guys

Hello guys, is there any body's return tracker activated who received ppr email in june.??

For those who have been stressing about photos:

The requirements don't ask for the photos to be signed. Instead, they must be taken by a professional photographer (be that Costco, London Drugs, Henry's, Don's Photo, etc.); they must be the required size (the guidelines are included with the PPR email, and have been mentioned here before); and the back of the photo must be stamped by the photographer with the name and address of their studio, and the date the photo was taken. You then also need to write your full name and your date of birth on the back of the photo.

Just to give you an example: I got my photos done at Henry's just around the corner from where I work. I received the PPR email at around 7am; got to work at 8am; had my break at 9:30am; photos done by 9:45am; went to the post office nearby and bought the Xpresspost envelopes by 9:50am; and had everything in the mail to Ottawa before 10am :P

I know we're all impatient folks around here, but once CIC puts the ball back in your park, we can be as quick and efficient as we want to be ;)
