If you look at Jimmy's case, till yesterday it was not changed. So we just cant say anything based on status online. These guys have separate status updates in their system which is not same shown online. So just hold your breath for some more time. Its just coming this week.

I assume your background check is taking this long as your are Outland and CIC has to confirm with another country to which you belong.

But for Inlanders its quick, as they are all under the same government but a different department.

when you say check the background, what do you mean? I mean, I've read the status only have certaind updates, there is no "background cheking" update....

Hi PMC89, the correct size required by CIC is 50x70, not 75mm

I dont think there will be any notes regarding delay of 1 month (in my view, its not a delay at all). Unless if there is any eligibility addl review or interview requested then only you can find anything or else you will see the same notes as you got the gcms last time. But we can try though to see if there is any additional notes on files got moved to different departments before they finally issued ppr.

My background check is "In Progress" from this afternoon. This evening or possibly in the last 30 mins as i am checking cic website almost every hour multiple times.

May applicants, Gear up. Check your ecas and update please.

No change in MyCIC or on ECAS for me, even though we're both late May applicants.

Incidentally - just checking the notes on MyCIC; my Background Check section says "not needed at this time", and in the notes, that means "Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence." That's nonsense, of course - but interesting, nevertheless...

*sighs* *crosses fingers* I'd be delighted if things progress quickly - I'm really looking forward to my landing trip to the States!

I still hope to get my PPR within this week. Please pray for me and also my best wishes to everyone out there who are also waiting for PPR. Thanks.
