So this is what i found on other thread about background check

Not needed at this time" means that your BG check went to the next stage. "Not started" means your application has not been accessed by officer yet. "In progress" means your application is started and CIO is checking the provided docs. At this time your meds are passed, criminality/RCMP screening and biographic (if applicable) are in progress. When it changes to "not needed" it means your criminality is completed, RCMP and biographic is completed, security check and eligibility is in progress and coming soon. When your last BG check stage is going to be completed (security passed) it will go back to "in progress" (though it might never gonna change since now) and your secondary visa office will start the final decision based on eligibility. After short period of time you will get your result

I don't think that Criminality ever has 'not needed ' at any point.

It just takes an email for them. When they want to do it, they can do it really quick.

True... when CIC get quick they can give PPR to all remaining May and June applicants on this Friday (desperately waiting)

Congrats for the ones whoever received ppr today.

Can anyone please confirm the photo size one more time from your ppr email.

harirajmohan, do you know how much money do we need to have to land as a proof of funds? (either interview or border) Or they don't really ask inland PNPs for that? Please help, I'm afraid I don't have enough lol

If you are working then carry pay stubs that will be sufficient. As for as funds are concerned you need to have based on your family size

I think that its based on the program we apply. So for pnp i believe we need to show. Some officers dont ask. Some did ask for inland who were working. So please be careful. Arrange the bank statement at least and withdraw the money later and take the statement with you. Dont be in hurry for landing. if possible have the money in bank till landing.

EE link. Of course EE includes inland too and most of them are working.

I think Outland guys need 10000 with them but inland doesn't matter for most of the provinces

Hi All,

For people who have already sent their PR under ONIP Master stream. I have a question related to IELTS when I apply for PR after ONIP nomination.

I took IELTS on AUG 2015, and I applied for ONIP Master Stream on MAR 2016. I haven't get AOR yet, but based on others' timeline, I believe the time for AOR might be July or AUG and SEP or OCT for nomination letter. The checklist of PR application shows that I need to submit proof of language, but at the time I apply for PR, my IELTS is beyond one year. Do I need to take a new IELTS or just submit the old one when I apply for PR?

Thank you!!!!!

Thank you guys! The instructions on cic are rather vague for inlands :/ sounds like we don't really need to show a proof... ?
But it seems like it's better to have enough just in case, you never know. I just hope that it doesn't have to be 10000 (for a single applicant) :D ???

That's good to know. I'm a single may 22 bcpnp applicant. Did not receive any news today and needless to say I'm super disappointed. I'm coming unto a year soon and don't know how much longer I can wait.
