Officially, a permanent resident now. It's been a long 6yrs since I came as a student, then turned into a temporary foreign worker. Best wishes to the rest of the applicants. Your time will come soon.

Please don't hesitate to ask, if you have any questions.

Stay strong and keep smiling. :)

We will be drunk on all the sugar from the Vanilla Coke we bought in the U.S :P

Get coke from Mexico! (black-colored bottle fizzy drink, not white powdery stuff)

They use sugar cane and its thought to taste better than those in US/Canada.

That has nothing to do with coke LOL. The day I become PR, I will open a bottle of Champagne or Bordeaux, not coke.

PCC from what country? if it's RCMP, then just go to police services and ask for one, they will send it directly to IRCC. usually 30 days.

When you go to the border, to land as a Permanent resident, you do not need a temporary resident visa (TRV).

Best wishes.

No worries I'm just being a bit cheeky. No need to apologize

If you haven't lived in other countries than Canada before 18, you don't need PCC. Check your document checklist (it should say "all countries except Canada). IRCC do their own check with RCMP and if they need PCC from RCMP they will request it from you after AOR.

Some counties can't get PCC without letter from IRCC and if they need it from you, they will have the letter after AOR.

Before you submit your PR application to Ottawa, make sure to do upfront Medical (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp) as that will speed up your process. Do not submit, without getting your medicals done. Also, its a good thing that you did your Canadian Police Check. Submit it with your application. These 2 things, will save you months of waiting time.

Best wishes.

Hi guys.

I am graduated in April 2016. I am going to receive my POST GRADUATION WORK PERMIT in three months from now as per processing time of CIC. Hopefully in August.
I am interested in applying "International Student with Job Offer Category" I have read the entire book on CIC website on that as well.

I have already got the job in NOC 0621 as a Store Manager. I have started that yesterday -May 1,2016. offered salary per year $42,000

My question is:
When Can I apply for Provincial Nominee in Ontario?
Is my job experience going to count from May 1, 2016 or after I receive my POST GRAD WORK PERMIT?
Also, When Can me and my employer apply for pre-screen thing?

I will highly appreciate all the responses. Thank you kindly!

Finally i received MR on last friday and i got appointment on May5, 2016.

AOR - Sept 2, 2015

In Ontario, you can apply for Nomination as soon as you complete graduation(You must apply within 2 years of your graduation). You don't have to wait for PGWP or Experience to be counted. Your employer can start pre-screening process. After pre-screening approval(will take about 3 months if application is completed and accurate), you can apply for nomination.

I would suggest you to go through express entry rather than paper. Paper application takes forever. I got my Ontario Nomination on May 01 and I applied to CIC on June 01 and waiting for PPR

I hope it helped you a bit. Thanks
