Hello,
I am June inland applicant.

I would really appreciate if you help me out with this issue. I value your efforts and time.
I have submitted my PR application with my Police certificate from my home country, which took a lot of time. And I wonder now wheather visa office Sydney, NS contacts my home country authorities to double check my background again, which is going to delay my application I am afraid. Does anybody know wheather Sidney, NS contacts homecountry authorities to double check given police certificate???

If you were inland applicant why did u submitted your PR application and police certificate outside Canada? sorry im kinda confuse on your sentense... If your Inland applicant you should submit your PR app and police certificate inside Canada...or if you were just submitting your police certificate u need to submit your police certificate to Sydney...unless you were outlander Yes u can submit it to your Visa office in your home country. hope this one clarifies your question. We have to submit police certificate of the country where you lived more than 6 months for the last 10 years. If you stayed in Canada more than 6 months, you need to submit Canadian police certificate as far as I know. You can do it now and submit when they request additional documents.

cic website says:


Police certificates

You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide a valid police certificate for each country other than Canada, in which you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.

Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.
If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator.

We will also do our own background checks to determine if there are grounds under which you and your dependants may be inadmissible to Canada.

My question is: When visa office does background and security check do they contact our home country?

no worries.
Yes! to verified your police certificate is true or fake. immigration is very strict when it comes to security check and they make sure documents is not tampered.

I do not see any option for inland - PNP applicants.

case specific is generally used for informing any status change and submission of relevant docs..status inquiry is possible only after normal processing time...
