People who received Medicals on 23rd Dec - How many lines you have in your ECAS, I still have 3 lines.

I am wondering why medical request sent line is not appearing?

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all well. Just found out this group. So here is my situation:

Applied for PR (after Mantioba PNP): June 8th 2015
Received AOR on August 21st 2015

Haven't heard anything since then.

But now there is a twist in my situation. Earlier this month, due to some unforeseen circumstances my employer ran out of business and eventually had to lay me off. I have a closed work permit tied to that employer until 2017 June, which means I can't work anywhere else until I get my PR. I have enough savings to last until I get my PR and was thinking to use this time as holiday/break.

Do I have to officially inform the province or CIC that I lost my job?
Do I have to start looking for a new job and a new work permit?
If I don't work is it going to affect my PR process?

Looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts.

Dear me also in same boat
In my case my employer also did the same thing
But luckily after work permit approval and visa stamping
When I was ready to fly to Canada they inform us that u are not longer employee for our organisation
I am also applied the PR and received my AOR
And discussed a lot for my case with so many legal advisor each and every told
Now PR process is totally depneds on your employer
So as per my opinion u wil request to your employer for supporting of your PR application till your PR confirm

I think u dont need to worry..because... when i applied my PR application my status is only Visitor permit holder and they accept it using my pnp certificate.... if your not a worker at all u need to meet the money financial if single i believe $11,155 canadian dollar.... as long as u have a valid permit it doesnt matter if your worker, visitor or even student they will accept your PR application even if your in your home country...as long as you meet the criteria...you will be fine...for student and visitor or outside country needs to meet the financial reference....worker you dont have too.... if you will take a look for some PNP applicant Outlander...they dont have work here in Canada and still they got approved for PR...why not us right? think positive everything will go into place... Goodluck to us

First of all u will try to convince your employer to support your application of PR
Then only you think for informing to CIC
Here you clear me one thing
IS YOUR employer issued you any legal document of layoff

I have already left that job so which employer are you talking about? I have already made my application long time ago. I don't want to inform CIC as other members in thisi group suggested not to. No, I don't have any legal documents of layoff, but if required I can ask. My question was whether me losing the job is going to affect my PR or not. Anyways thanks.

Hi Ness,

Thank you for your valuable opinion. Exactly, if out landers can get approved then why not us in landers. But the problem with the system, rules and requirements are sometimes they don't make sense. Yes, at the time of submitting the application I met all the requirements, so it makes sense for my case to go through smoothly. The reason I am worried is because my PNP nomination was based on my job and PR application is based on my PNP. So since I don't have a job now anymore its makes me worried. I have no problem as far as finance is concerned. It makes more sense for CIC to understand "Ok, so this chap recently lost his job and due to closed work permit he can't work anywhere else, so let's give him PR so that he can start working again"

Yes, I called them yesterday and they said they don't have any appointments till Feb 5th which is a couple of weeks away. Considering I applied at the end of first week of June, I suppose I should be getting the medical call anytime soon. Should I book? what do you guys say?
So, 2 weeks waiting time. Hmm.. I would book in advance just to be safe.
I would book a medical exam abourd 3rd week of feburary (which is 1 month from now.)
So if you get a medical exam anytime after today, it will fall in 1 month time frame. ;)

Dear as u told me that still no document issued by empolyer than it is a positive sign for your case
Because It is the responsibilty of your empolyer to inform to CIC as well as to you also with some type of legal document on letter head with HR head stamp
And in your case empolyer didn't issue you any document then it is clear your empolyer didn't inform to CIC

I think from above the point of INFROM TO CIC OR YOU MAY THINK OF HIDE THE FACT FROM CIC
IS CLEAR TO YOU MY DEAR
PRAY TO GOD YOUR STILL SUPPORT TO YOUR APPLICATION
As per my exp ( May be I am wrong ) but CIC ALWAYS SEEN YOUR BASE OF APPLICATIOŃ OF PR
Specially for PNP PR which is totally a job based PR
And if your pNP is restricted to specific employer then you will have to find new employer who will support to your PnP certificate .
Also in the manual of pnp it is clearly mention issue of pnp certificate doesn't Gurntee that you got the PR
Your application of PR refused if you are no longer employed with specific employer mention in your pnp certificate .

It shows 3 lines:

second line: they start to process my case
third line: they got my madical result
