How do they instruct you to send passport to them? any special instruction due to Canada Post strike? just curious

Must use xpresspost mail and include a pre-paid small envelope. The same for visa request for work permit. The strike seems only relating to extended working hours for postmen, not normal ones, as I heard from news.

I have one sample line from senior folks from their PPR email, Do you have any thing like highlighted below,

The self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope must be from Canada Post. Please note that we will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier.

Got my PPR this morning. Inland May 19 applicant. Added accompanying family member in April.

Filled a web form requesting for application status when it reached 15 months 2 weeks ago. Got reply yesterday. Guess it helped.

Good luck everyone. Reading posts here is a great relief for the long wait.

so the sender and receiver on the prepaid xpresspost mail are both your name and address?

I have in my GCM notes September 10th as Due date for everything, including Security etc...

Although I know other people who saw their Due date passed with no news at all. I wish my application is similar to yours.

when did you get AOR if I may ask? Usually Due date is one year after they started to work on your application unless they changed it for any other reason.

That's good news mishti... congratulations ... you have waited long enough...
Also I met my local MP yesterday. She said that my file looks simple and she is wondering why they have put a hold on it since April (there is no activity in my file after april). She also said that cic have slowed down pnp applications but she will help me to pressurize cic to open my file and work on it. Hopefully Sept will be lucky month for all of us...

supposely is from the date they got your application. In my case they received in on July 6th, and started to work on it on Sept 11th. The funny thing is that they usually give themselves a due date of one year from the day they start working on it.

indeed. if they keep this pace (14 and 19 of may)....I see my PPR.....far far away.
