Guys, my background has been changed to 'in progress' today afternoon. Looks like they are still working on this stream.

May applicant. My progress is delayed because I delayed my FBI clearance certificate submission for 3 months.

June 18th applicant. In myCIC changed:

"Application status: Closed
Final decision: This application has been approved"

Sounds really good, but no e-mail. Is any one in the same boat?
Definitely something is moving forward so anyone can expect good news from now on

Hai am November in land applicant.
November 4: applications sent to Cic Nova Scotia
February 15 : process started
June 2: upfront medical sent to Nova Scotia
June 10 : medical received
Got an email from Cic regarding linking my application online. I tried but it says application not found. Can anyone help me with that too.does this email means ppr is gonna get soon?
Do you guys have any idea how long to get ppr ??
based on other applicants who got ppr already or waiting for it?

and wanna to know if I still to upload my application cause it is said only those who did apply before jan 2015.

and I have received that email today also but am not sure if we need to link our application also cause it is said only applicants before Jan 2015.

but I did not do upfront MR, I already had LANDING FEE request and still waiting for MR Request.

Re:about linking your application to my cic account, the only thing i could think about the linking of applications through online my cic is due to current situation of canada post which i thing they are doing it as a precaution just incase it will not be able to negotiate the soonest. Once u have link ur application with my cic u wont be able to recieve any correspondence through mail but it will go through ur my cic account. If u have link ur account just be careful and check ur email more often because they would send u some correspondence through mycic if u missed it it would be the cause of refusal. Check as well ur junk mail. It would be great to link our applications because we can see what is going on. Just be careful tho.

Mine BG changed to in progress on July18 still nothing yet! I am June 18 applicant with 2 dependents. Documents were preapred very well, none extra requirements,
However still waiting-- - really don't know what's going on with CIC? Are they all quit the job??? Too long time to waiting! So exhausted!

Looks like they changed their strategy for logging where 'in progress' used to stand by finish of background check.

Not to discourage anyone, but June 16, the day I linked my account to MyCIC, my background was already "In progress"...I'm a June 24th applicant and still waiting...

I believe that when background check goes into progress again, probably tour file moves to Ottawa.

Hey,
I'm July 8 applicant.
Question for y'all. Do u get Email notification once ur status changes in my Cic?
For example when background status changes to "in process". Would u get an email notification? Or you'd have to go check my Cic everyday.
