Hi guys, I need advice.
I'm April 27 applicant. Waiting for DM/PPR but mw WP will expired for one month. Maybe I will be short for week or two.
Did I apply for extension of wp or did I apply for visitor visa?
I talk today with some immigration consultant and he ask me for extension wp 2500CAD+tax and 450CAD fees for wp.
I'm principal applicant with closed wp, my spose have owp and child visitor record.
What should I do because I know we must have legal status all the time?

I was in the same situation before.
My suggestion is to get all the documents prepared, submit the application one week before your WP goes expire, what happend to me was I applied for WP extension, but my PPR arrived earlier, in your case, I think WP extension right now will take longer than your PR, but if PR won't get on time, apply for WP extension online, cost you $255 and you will get implied status. for me, that was $255 wasted.

Maybe I am wrong but you can ask a refund if the wp has not been processed yet...

I called the agent. He didn't pick it up. And I called CIC to get an idea in advance about where to submit my husband's passport as he is in India. They have no clue.
