PNP PR APPLICATION SEPTEMBER 2014 APPLICANTS

I have contacted MP today and he told me that processing time for any PR application is now 26 months regardless of category. I asked her what's the source, she old me that CIC informed them about this update because of refugee processing time. I know this is BS.

My passport is going to expire in next 6 months and have to renew it. If I don't PR then I have to renew my visa too. So frustrating.

Vast majority of PR applications are being processed in around 12 months.

i feel for you, since sadly CIC tends to forget a few applications here and there each month which get delayed, but the big bulk is done all the way to January 2015 applicants.

What i heard is that they start on security very late just before ppr and the guys got ppr's notes are the same as yours and they got ppr in 2-3 months of this status. So you are through as far as i see. so dont worry. what is the location in the notes?

My file is in Ottawa since last October. But all of these checks are expiring on 3rd March this year. Medical, criminality, eligibility and schedule 4. Do I have to go through everything again? I know for sure that I have to go through medical again but not sure about criminality and eligibility. My PCC expired on July 27, '16.

I know, even my friends applied with me got PR in 8 months. I called CIC but they keep telling me everything is passed but I don't know what they are waiting for?

I feel you men! I apply in October, but most of my friends and some people that apply with me got it back in July/August! And seeing here in the forum how people from Dec/Jan are getting their PPR is frustrating! You should call CIC, cause I understand they are able to do something once the 15 months have pass! I just call myself and he said I'm still in the 15 months (even do it will be 16 months tomorrow), but that I'm on queue for the PPR everything else is done!

That's the thing man. My application is passed and there is no extra documents requested after I submitted my application other than medical. I don't know the reason of delay. May be they forgot about our file.

I called them on December 5, 2015, agent told me since my processing time is passed 15 months she can forward message to ottawa and I will hear something from them in a week or 2. Month went by nothing yet.

Neither in process nor it is completed.

Don't worry about GCMS notes saying "Not started". If you look at Dec-Jan applicants who got PPR recently had the security field "Not started" when they ordered their notes. However, they still got PPR within few days/weeks. My guess is that the security field is not updated in gcms field until its actually done. i.e. either it is in "Not started" state or in "Complete" state.

Actually I called MP also and she called CIC to inquire about my file. They informed her that security is not started yet.

no u cant get work permit
only inland applicant are eligible for extension of closed or open work permit or bridging work permit.

I spoke to someone on the phone beginning of dec and they said everything was passed, and then I spoke to someone early Jan and they said cic are doing a medical reassessment and they did not require any extra docs as of yet, still haven't heard anything, ordered gcms on monday, hope I hear something soon iv had enough
