Express entry is definitely faster. CIC has a 6 month mandate to complete the process for 80% of the applicant. IF you think you'll hit 1 yr within the next 3 months , with 486 points you should get an ITA. I'll do EE. Start applying for your PCC for countries you lived in outside canada to get a head start. US FBI PCC takes 4 months

I'm an applicant from the US eagerly waiting to move to Canada. :)

The FBI has had tremendous changes with their police reporting system in the past several years. They now have private servicers that can expedite the orders. Its painfully expensive, but you can get a PCC in a few days by overnighting your fingerprints to one of these servicers and paying the hefty fee to have it overnighted back.

I chose this option immediately before sending to the CIC for my app back in November, it worked very well. It was painfully expensive, however. Spent over $40 to overnight it to a servicer, and spent $80 for them to do the expedited check and overnight back. You're talking about an over $100 USD investment for this service.

CIC processes are somewhat random, I feel your pain as this isn't my first application and I've been at this for years.

Generally speaking they're processing August and September applications, provided they are complete. However you may notice people who applied after you get an RPRF more quickly. There's no set line unfortunately.

Hey guys!

I received an email today from cic asking for rcmp pcc and fingerprints but I already submitted these documents with application so do you guys i need to send dem again?
Because in their email there is a note whick says:
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.
So i assume i dont need to send the rcmp pcc again!
Wat do you guys think ?
Need an advice if someone has the same situation like this.
