Canadian experience class applicants are receiving AOR each day, no matter inland or outland applicants.
Ontario applicants are also receiving AOR.
Only one stream is totally stooped after 8th of January and this is PNP other then Ontario.
Before September 2014, people used to receive AOR with in 2 months and with in 6 months maximum, used to get visa.
Since September only AOR waiting times is approx 5 months and counting.
Demonstrate a big strategy change from CIC side.

Yeah agree totally, also September people have their status changed to Inprocess now for CEC!! That's really quick!!

If it indeed takes 17 months to process as the website says, then it won't be considered as delay, but on schedule. If you send an email to CIC, the reply will always be some bureaucratic answer like "Due to recent increase in volume... " or "Currently we are experiencing a large backlog...". However, word spreads. It says that CIC is now focusing on the new EE. In order to keep their 6-month promise, they have decide to leave the old application as they are and slowly "dissolve" themselves. If you have read my last comment carefully, especially the last paragraph, you should have reached the same conclusion.

What do you mean by "processing"? There is no processing taking place and that's because of bunch of jerks who don't do their jobs. Shame on Canada such an organization.

You know guys, CIC people don't care because they are mainly dealing with foreigners. If they had to deal with Canadians, they would have done their jobs. This means that as long as nobody is bringing this up, they will treat us as a sh*t (sorry but it is the truth).

I will try to contact CBC and bring this issue to media. Anybody who is able to do it, please don't hesitate. If CBC received calls from many people, we would have better chance to get our voice heard.

Remember who did this to you. Once you become a voter, you know what to do. CIC under Conservatives, especially under Alexander, is a complete mess.

Your assessment is generally correct. Here's a few key pointers though

1 - Ontario nominees are getting AOR but they've been on hold since May 2014. CIC seems to now be catching up on Ontario applicants
2 - Other Provinces were processed under a reasonable timeline until around sept 8th. No one from other province besides Ontario has received AOR past Sept 17th. No one. The Ontario applicants getting AORs range between May - August (per the date application reached CIC).


So again ...i think you're right in your assessment of a change in strategy. Here are some possibilities!

1. New strategy to put a hold on new AORs and process those in pipeline will bolster their latest numbers. This especially true if their Key Performance Indicator clocks starts ticking from when an AOR is issued. So as long as they don't issue AOR, that time doesn't count towards what they report as time to process. We bear that time cost. It's an election year. Furthermore, contract of CIC head may be up for renewal. One thing I know is that the current approach has an effect on processing time metrics. Question is....how are they measured ?

2. Another scenario may be one that we can be put into a shadow system like the EE. Our applications will be entered into the EE type stream, where each steps is more automated and timely. If you read the EE forum for those that got ITA Jan 31st, they got MR Feb 1st....check it out. One day turn around. This is where they're cutting away time. if we get entered into the EE system even with old rules, in the long run we may catch up. This is obviously a very optimistic scenario but possible

NO september OPNP applicant has gotten AOR. Frankly as you can see from the sheet you referenced NO ONE has gotten AOR with receipt date passed Sept 17th. You're Sept 24th.

Received mail from CIC, reply of my application status inquiry.

They informed me that my application is under initial processing and I will be contacted in the due course.
My application was received by cic on 22nd September. I guess it is positive thing. does anyone has experience of receiving mail from cic ?
