I'm visa exempt too. Thought the same as you did, but ended up getting aPPR anyways. My wife is non visa exempt though. Therefore she had to send in her passport and I believe CPC just asked for the whole family in the same time.KrysB1 said:Application received Sept. 5
In Process Notification May 28
Additional Documents Sent June 3
RPRF Paid June 15
Decision Made Not sure which day this week, I stopped checking it so often last week.
I don't think I will receive PPR. I'm from a visa exempt country, so I believe they will just mail the COPR. How long that will take, not sure.

Hope for the best
depends. What stream are you in? If your PR isn't connected to your job, you should be fine. But if your employers name is on your nomination, you might run into trouble when CIC sends you the ready for visa email. They ask you about changes of circumstances. If you tell them, they might cancel your visa. If you don't, the officer on the border when you land, hasevery right to refuse you to land, if he/she determines, you don't fulfill the requirements anymore. In the end, you would depend on sheer luck.Hamid khan said:hello friends

Better apply for a new wp asap. Otherwise your whole effort will have been for nothing at all

They requested background form again on 2 july and didnot hear anything till now..no DM AND No PPrPanicker said:Sep 2014 applicant , SINP ..i got my IP on June 11 , they had asked for rprf and an updated background info , The status changed to IP on June 15 ..no news since then ... Anyone with a similar fate .. ? what are the chances of they rejecting an application once its said IP ? If any SEP Applicants who had DM / passport call or waiting ..Let me know
you don't need a NEW LMIA, if you stay with the same employer. That's correct. And as your PR is employer depended, you couldn't change jobs anyway. Even if you wanted to. For your work permit extension, you need to submit supporting documents. While you nomination letter certainly won't do any harm, it probably expired a long time ago right? The important info you want to submit with your wp extension application, is your PR application number. And a copy of your AOR, and/or any further/other reference/response you have. That way you can prove, that you have an application for PR in process and that a decision is imminent, or will at least be made in a timely fashion. I don't think you will have any trouble with your wpextension at allHamid khan said:with my nomination i got work permit supporting letter
so in that case i don't need LMIA
am i correct
And i will extend same employer where i came first and got nomination
do u think it would b not a big deal to extend
