Hey bud

You're an outland applicant. So dont compare your timeline with inland applicants.Check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp#i

Email them. Dont be so dependent on your lawyer. Apply for your GCMS and be patient.

Best wishes.

Applied on dec 4th 2014...he is waiting for status to change from many days but still no update from cic at all....he applied through AINP ...

Your visa office says Bangalore (india), that's why I thought you are outland. The processing time in CIC's website is 15months, but their service standard is 11 months. If he calls CIC, they'd still ask him to wait as 15months have not passed yet. Ask him to call CIC again in March 2016.

Yea bro...i have applied for study permit and went to canada to study...When my father applied for PR,he kept me as his dependent in his file ,so I thought that it would be good to study there as I will be getting PR along with my dad which will help me in getting good opportunities after completing study but to my bad luck CIC changed the age of dependents from 21 to 18 years, so I wont be able to get PR as his dependent. This led me to drop out from my course return to India..hmm still my dad didn't got any request...May be everything happens for good.. :(

I am DEC 19, 2014 applicant and still IN PROCESS.... :-[ :-[ :-[

No change in my case. I would say the best way to get some information is to contact your local MP. I got GCMS note on Feb 04, 2016 and there wasn't any new info for me on that. So, I contacted my local MP and I got response from him in 24 HOUR. He did a detailed follow up with CIC and told me that they started my security check on Jan 04 2016 (which wasn't on the GCMS note by the way) and are waiting for the results. He also told me to contact him again after 15 months passed if my application is still in process and he will contact CIC one more time.

Did CIC request police certificates and updated schedule A from you back in January 2016?

No, nothing asked. Everything passed for me except the security.

Now that ur MP has inquired. Its gonna come pretty quick. Expect PPR in 15 days. That is my personal experience.

I was able to talk to an agent who opened my file today. he said my file has been moved to Ottawa. eligibility is still in progress... I wonder what are they checking in that aspect. any views?

Seniors,

Need some advise.

If I move from my current city to a different city within the same province, that nominated me, is it going to delay my application? I have talked to CIC agent and I am hearing 2 different stories.

Has anybody faced similar situation? What was the outcome?

Thanks.
