It's just the "ready for visa" email, except rather than sending the physical passport you just have to send a photocopy. No procedural or timeline difference than that.

Oh yeah and i knew that! :D LOL
Thanks Quink! Good to see you are still here with us who are still in the "waiting game" :)

I am in the waiting game. Dec 31 applicant. File transfered to Ottawa on Sept 12. Got IP on Sept 14. All documents are provided and fees are paid. I really don't understand why they are taking long to make a decision and send me PPR.. Doesn't make sense to me. Any idea what could be the reason??

Hi, may I ask how do you know your file has been transferred to Ottawa?

I requested to get records of my PR application under Access To Information And Privacy(ATIP). When you request those records of immigration it will give you details of your application like when your application was started to process, when you got medical request, and also Results of Medical, criminality and security checks. Your application fees status either paid or unpaid. Any other comments officer left on your file.

Yeah I'm still around! Although admittedly not as much as before. I gotta see you guys succeed!

According to the CIC website I'm 20 days away from getting my card. So I'm still playing the waiting game too. ;)

need help... in the form imm 5669e SCHEDULE A BACKGROUND/ DECLARATION .... SECTION 8 PROSONAL HISTORY... SINCE THE AGE OF 18 OR THE PAST 10 YEARS...I DIDNT MENTION ANYTHING FOR 3 MONTH OF SUMMER VACATION AFTER12 STANDARD... I DIDNT MENTION ANYTHING FOR 1 MONTH GAP AFTER MY BACHOLER... WHAT SHOULD I WRITE FOR THIS

IN THE NEXT SECTION 9.. MEMBERSHIOP OR ASSOCIATION WITH ORGANIZATIONS.

I DIDNT WRITE ANY THING AND HAVE JUST WROTE NONE. WHAT WOULD BE HERE.... LIKE I DO JOB....

PLEASE HELP ME....

Just mention You are in you parental home. or Unemployed, Was applying for higher studies...etc. But do not leave any gaps

I had a three month section where I said "no fixed address - travelling", and listed the country as "USA/Canada". My application went through fine with no requests for updates or additional information.

The key is not leaving gaps. I don't think they're all that worried about exactly what you were doing, unless you were in Afghanistan fighting with the Taliban or something. They just want to see a full 10 year timeline with no omissions.

Hi
So I went to complete "landing" at the border. I went pretty late (12:30am) friday, so there was no one there at all.
I was in and out (out canada-usa-back in canada) like 30mins. I was walking PS
On the US side I just told them I was flagpolling. I wasn't asked any questions, just waited till I was given the piece of paper that the border officers needed
Canadian Officer was nice and tired, asked the general questions (have you been arrested, has any thing changed since DM). Made small talk about immigration (and the "joys" of the process) and then had to sit and wait while he did his thing. Very nice guy, even apologized that he was slow coz he was tired and almost off his shift.
After that he congratulated me, asked me to signed the CoPR and told me the PR card would be sent to my address.

Important point --- I asked about travelling and return before I got the PR card. He said you can get the travel document when you are outside, but there's no posted processing time, and essentially said it's gonna be easier/ less stressful to wait for the PR card than trying to deal with getting the travel document. I cannot use my multiple entry visa to return into Canada anymore as my status on that document is no longer valid

I've decided to just land and wait for the PR card. The trip can happen anything but I need PR status more to deal with work stuff.
Hope this helps people about the PRcard and travel document question

For those of you still waiting.... you're almost there just be strong a little longer

Hello,

Please let us know if you get more information about this. My status is still IP and I was already worried about getting my PR before is to late to visit my family for Crhistmas outside Canada. But now I realize that even if I get my PR still might need to wait for the PR card??

Im from visa exempt country. Only with CoPR should be enough to travel and come back for "landing" without waiting for the PR card. no??

There is always something else lol ???
