Hi Harirajmohan & Druce,

I did my Upfront medicals on Aug 13, 2014 in Winnipeg with Dr.Fogel. Usually the way it works with Upfront medicals is that when we do the medical tests at the clinic, the doctor creates a file for you which has all your necessary info. like your Full name, DOB, Passport Number, Date of Issue, Date of Expiry, Type of tests performed and so on. Your panel physician will also provide you with a TRACKING SHEET (which contains your UMI number), which you are supposed to SCAN and SEND (as an e-mail attachment) to CIC/CIO (Since I did an upfront before actually submitting my application to CIC, I have also included the tracking sheet in my application). So, you can also send a hard copy of the tracking sheet to CIC's courier address. That's all you need to do from your end and you're done. You can either wait for an update on ECAS regarding your medicals (received line) or alternatively call CIC Call centre (roughly after 2 weeks) and inquire if they have received your test results and if they were attached to your file.

What actually happens is that your panel physician will be sending your medical test results directly to CIC, who in turn tracks your records from your tracking sheet that you have sent before or after (your doc has sent the results). I hope it all makes sense. This is a fairly easy process and greatly reduces the processing time (by atleast a month) since you are not actually waiting to hear from CIC to get your medicals done!

I believe I have answered your queries.. If you still have any other questions, please let me know..
Good luck!

KB :)

P.S: Test results are usually valid for a FULL year. Also remember that its a good OMEN if you don't actually hear anything from the doc/panel physician, since they will only contact you if there is something wrong with your test results!!
Thank you for the detailed answer my friend.

If you are outside of Canada (like me) I believe you can only enter the country whilst your medicals is still valid. So lets say I do medicals now, and they take +-9 months to complete my application, I will have to enter the country in the next 3 months?

You're welcome, Druce.. I see your point there but I don't think that would matter coz the decision would have already be made by then by CIC. Once you were requested for your passport (for PR Visa Stamping) during which you will also be receiving your CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residency), I believe that's your happy ending right there.. You don't have to worry about when your medicals would be expiring after that.. I hope that makes sense :)

Good luck!
KB

P.S: You could always double-check the information by contacting CIC's Call centre, just to be sure.. :)

Hey Buddy,
Congrats for your CoPR.. :D
I just want to ask, From whom you got the request for additional documents?
I got additional document request from BF registry. Please reply.. :)

Correct. Visa is valid till medical expiry date or any of the family member's passport expiry date, whichever is less.

I am on DM since Sept 17th and still waiting for PPR. I believe there had been a pause in the whole process. Even people that sent passport to Ottawa early October had been waiting to see their return tracker activated. Today, return trackers got activated for a slew of the Oct 1 - 5th PPRs (see november thread). This means, I expect a new batch of PPRs to go out. I hope we're captured in the next wave i'm expecting later this week

Hopefully tonight guys!!! Election is done, so Immigration can keep working on our files.
Please rain of PPR!!! :) :)

And a rain of DM too!

I really hope I can get my PR soon because I'm on implied status and I want to go home for Christmas... Also applied for BOWP but good look with the 145 days processing time.. :(

Good luck for all!

Hey guys, in case anyone's wondering (or hopefully will be wondering soon)... I landed 20 days ago and my ECAS still says Decision Made, and not a single thing has been updated since. Doesn't say completed, and no mention of PR card or anything. I'm half way through the estimated processing time for a PR card, so I'll keep checking right up until I receive it to hopefully give some guidance to whether it's worth bothering for anyone else when your time comes.

hi, I have submitted my PR application on December 2014, got nomination from SINP on august 2014, medical has been done on 28 April 2015 now my application is in process. Can anyone tell me that after doing medical normally how many months require to get PR visa. I live outside of canada.

Hello, everyone, I am a Dec.2014 applicant from BC, and got DM ( but only 5 items) on Oct. 6; however, I am still waiting for ppr. T_T

What I am worried is that if there is a number limition of PR applicants under PNP in CIC every year?? My IELT'S transcript will be expired next month, I hope there will be no need to update any documents.

Good luck to everybody. Hopefully, this week is the week. :)
