Yep. BCPNP, sent files to CIO-Sydney. No idea whether it ever got transferred to Ottawa or just stayed in Sydney the whole time.

I'm also Visa Exempt so I guess now all I'm (hopefully) waiting for is a COPR in the mail!
That's great. Have you been requested for some additional documents after IP? I'm also from visa exempt country, but I read that you have to send cooy of your passport and two pictures? I'm not sure about pictures but I think I'm right for the copy of passport, it's on the CIC's web site..

Nope, no additional document requests. I sent a copy of my passport and 6 pictures (I think it was 6) with my original file. I followed the application guide really closely and checked it about a million times, so hopefully I got everything correct first time - that might explain the quick DM?

Also, the details on my ECAS have been expanded:

Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 11, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 30, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on April 30, 2015.
4. We sent you medical instructions on May 7, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. (this line is new as of this morning)
5. Medical results have been received. (this line was previously number 4)

Yeah, well I wish we don't have to send anything. This is what I found on CIC web site:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/final.asp

"Applicants from visa-exempt countries

The ‘Passport Request’ letter instructs the applicant on how to send a photocopy of the bio data page of their passport and, if applicable, the bio data page of the passports of their accompanying spouse and dependent children."

The ‘Passport Request’ letter, therefore, includes a request for hard copy photos. Applicants are instructed to mail these photos to CIC.

Interesting! We'll see what happens next then, since I've already sent those things to them originally. Maybe the wording here is for the Express Entry people who only upload everything electronically to begin with?

Yeah even I'm thinking the same. Actually it says it's for the e-applications, so it could be only for the express entry applicants. Please let me know when you get copr or ppr.

I think it's all down to Canada Post now. And I'm not sure who's slower, them or CIC! ;)

Hi Quink,

I don't know much about DM. Did you get the DM through email/mail? Your ecas status doesn't have a line saying.. a decision has been made or anything like that?

Cheers

No new line saying DM in the details section, but the link that you click from the first page now says "Decision Made" rather than "In Process".

I'm curious whether that line will show up when they (hopefully) process and mail my COPR document? It's hard to gauge because most people on this forum require visa stamping so there's not a lot of historical data to refer to.

Thanks man. They should add a line by saying decision has been made. Good luck for your COPR document

Quink,

Quick question..

Do you think the ECAS updates only overnight or during the day as well ?

Just wondering if i should keep checking the portal during the day or not ?
