just a quick question: we don't have to create an Express Entry profile, do we? i believe these are only for those who've submitted PR applications january 2015 onwards.

That's correct , i guess.

I heard someone mentioning that the PNP holders prior to Jan 2015 will still have to apply as per the old rules.

Hope this is right , but also makes sense as why would anyone have 2 applications floating around ?

you are right.
But if you are eligible in any of the FSW or CEC category you can apply in express entry as well. Having two applications at the same time doesnt make any problem. Infact, if you get ITA from Express Entry, I am sure your PR will will processed faster than that of Paper application based on PNP.

My friend just got his FN:
application received by CIO-S: 2014-11-05
FN: 2015-04-08

so we need one more month to wait our FN.............just File number......god!!!

Application Received to CIC Nova Scotia on November 3rd, 2014

AOR Received on April 8th, 2015.

Upfront Medical appointment taken for April 16th , 2015.

Changes in Employment (Proof of Previous Employment Relieving Letter and Experience Certificate update on the Case Specific enquiry) as well as sent to email id provided by CIC in AOR.

Please update my timeline accordingly.

Any senior here who has experience that how to update CIC about change in employment?? I had resigned from the job on December 17th, 2014 and relieved by employer of Februaru 06, 2015 after serving notice period of 2 months. I am an unemployee right now... Is there any nagetive effect to my application if I have been Resigned from the work since I had already nominated under Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program from Manitoba Government.

Please light on the raise issue as It creat some tension for me now. I have total 8 years of work experience and now I am an unemployment.
