Hello guys!
I would really appreciate if some of you could answer my questions:
1. Is it necessary to have AOR to check your status online? I tried with uci but it doesn´t work.
2. Do you receive your AOR and medical request by mail and/or email?
Thanks and good luck to all of us
+1... I've recently changed address so I a little concerned whether they'll be sending the AOR by snail mail or not. Although I've included my email address in the application and expect to have the AOR sent by email.
Also, I understand that you need to inform them about an address change. I tried using the CIC website but it gives me this:
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:
Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
At this time, you may use this on-line service if you have:
sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
applied to resume Canadian citizenship."
I suppose this is because they haven't started processing my application yet. I did try to call their call centre as well to no avail; always saying they're experiencing high-call volume, and therefore, advised me to call at another time.
How exactly can I inform them of my address change if I can't use any of their preferred means of communication?
