Wow, it's going really slow! But again, you never know with this system. Is like with the AINP, people from 2013 are still waiting for nomination, and then I got mine in only 6 months. Let's just wait and see what happens!
I know MPNP processes stronger applications and applications of people already in Manitoba faster. That is likely the case with most provinces. My boyfriend got his MPNP nomination in less than 4 months and there are still people waiting who submitted way before him. He had a strong application and was already working in Manitoba. This makes sense because they want people who will help the economy and people who are going to settle easily or are already settled are more likely to help the economy.
The new EE system will basically now operate the same way. The stronger your application the faster you will get the invitation to apply. The good thing for PNP applicants could be that the whole system will go faster. But, the down side is that PNP nominees use to get priority over other applications to CIC (that is why they give you that sticker to put on your package) I am not sure what that sticker will do now since most other applications (I think there are a few steams not included in EE) will go under the new EE system. I just wonder if that sticker will basically do the same as the ITA by basically saying this person is a strong applicant (already wanted by a province) and thus speeding up PNP nominees PR.
It kind of sucks for January applicants that we have no idea what to expect as far as time lines go for PNP applicants. The people applying in first few months of the new EE system will be the ones showing the expected timelines.
I am going to be positive and believe that the new EE system will speed up the whole PR process for everyone. It may initially take more time for the AOR's to come in because of back log created by the launch of the new system (training CIC staff and getting so many paper applications in before the EE system from people who will have a harder time getting in on the new system) but once they catch up I am going to hope to expect that PNP nominees will also be processed as fast as the applications sent in from the new EE system.
