Hi I am new to here. Can anyone kindly let me know what’s the difference between AR and AOR? Does AR mean the date when my application package was received? If yes, the AR date is actually obtained from Canada Post website rather than IRCC? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
AR: "Application Received " by IRCC visa office. Yes, you can obtain this date from Canada Portstewart by tracking number.

AOR: Acknowledgement of Receipt, this is the date when IRCC send you Acknowledgement letter mentioning your UCI & Application number and they also confirm Application Received date.

Thanks for your quick response. So I am still waiting the email from IRCC. BTW, is there anything I can do during this time? Or just wait?

AR- means Application Received ( is the day your application was received by IRCC while AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt and it usually comes with your application number.

I think my AR should be Oct 6 2020 (from Canada post). I am inland. I’ll try to call IRCC to get a TAN. Thanks.

Guys,
My AR was in November 2020 and like many others from October onwards, I have not heard anything from IRCC yet except that I received my TFN on a phone call to IRCC. My Open Work Permit is expiring in August 2021. How can I maintain my status in Canada while IRCC is processing my PR application?
Thanks,

Thanks. But this public policy is only for PGWP holders. Mine is only an OWP not a PGWP.
Ask your employer for LMIA - except number. For that your employer have to submit an offer of employment in employer portal and have to pay to the compliance fee as well. Once you get the number, just add it with your work permit application

Thanks for your feedback. Is there any other way through which I can do it independently by myself?

I linked mine that way using my UCI since March 16, and no AOR yet. My AR is November 5. Not sure why some can link it and others can't.
I've seen that some applicants' UCI numbers have hyphens "-" and some others' don't. Can you please tell me how you keyed the UCI number in? Did you type the hyphens in?

As far as I know, either we need AOR, LMIA or LMIA -excempt; these are the options. Please refer with someone else as well before you proceed
