Thanks @subramani_vs | I was able to call, however during the last 5-7 attempts to contact, IVR says that they are busy and then the call gets disconnect. Has anyone else been able to make contact and actually talk to an agent in last 10-15 days and if so.... can someone tell me, how to reach an agent :)

Many of them have contacted successfully in the last fortnight or so. Better call them early, that's when you can reach them with less waiting time.

It was not approved before March 18 but recently. They also hinted that the exemptions will be lifted soon. Let's hope it happens.
That is the best we can hope for. Thanks for the news.

Question! Since the subject of passport expiration came up. My passport expires in April 2021. Assuming I don't get PR within a month can I actually use it to travel to Canada when I get PR if there's less than 6 months left on it. And if I get there and it expires few months later what do I do? is it something that can be renewed at my country's embassy in Canada?

From what I have read I believe your passport just needs to be valid.
They recommend that you have at least 6 months left on your passport 'before' you apply for PR.

I'm not sure how you renew it once you get there but I imagine it would be through your embassy.

You can travel until it is valid and renew in your country's embassy if you are in Canada.

My friend got ITA when they did the first FSW draw during the pandemic she's doing it on her own no rep. She showed me an estimated remaining processing time bar which my rep never mentioned despite how much i asked for time frame. Is that bar accurate or it always ends up taking longer? She submitted her application for PR mid august it says estimated completion date February 2021. I want to ask my rep about mine and what the % complete is but want to make sure its actually accurate first.

The bar only shows a 6 months time period. It is the estimated time our applications are supposed to take and it means very little.
Mine reached 100% 3 weeks ago.

The progress bar is just for namesake and is irrelevant to the closure or approval of your application. Many of us here has crossed 100% at least a month ago without knowing the final outcome.
