Hi,

I applied via the masters pnp program in ontario last year and got the approval than applied for pr and they recieved it on September 21st 2012. I've already got the aor and medical request last year. They've received my medical last year as well. My question is I recently moved to calgary (February 2nd 2013) because i got a job offer in my field of study (civil engineering), but i'm not sure if that would affect my application for pr since I applied in Ontario and currently reside in Alberta. Please give me feedback if this has happened to you or if you know anything about this issue.

Thank you,

If you applied under the Ontario PNP, then you are making a BIG mistake!!! Soon as CIC and Ontario PNP find out about it, your nomination will be revoked and also your entire application will be returned by CIC. If it's not too late, go back to Ontario and stay put till you have your PR in hand. Alternatively, if you must take this job in Alberta, you'd have to take the Alberta PNP route which means starting your PR application process from scratch!

By the way, how long did it take for you to get your nomination? I am planning to apply under the same category somewhere around October this year. Thanks

Well, its not that big deal as mentioned above.. so chill and relax..

Although they say it takes 90 days but in actual arnd 5 months...

Thank you,

you are breaking the law

they will find out and ur nomination will be revoked and it will be hard to get another pnp in the future

i suggest returning to ontario

I have talked to the immigration about this situation before. Their reply was like you can't move out the province during the evaluation process, otherwise it may result the rejection for your case. And they also said if you lost your job during the evaluation, it will be fine as long as you stay in the province.

I know it sounds weird that they rather let you apply for the EI in their own province than let you seek for the employment opportunity in other province... But this is how it works I guess.

I would strongly suggest you not take the risk and give PR the priority.
