Hello,

I am a canadian permanent resident who arrived in february 2021 in toronto under the provincial nominee program.
After spending two months in toronto, where I was renting a house and looking for a job (wihtout success) I have decided to move to quebec where I am about to start university to get a better employment chance once graduated.
My question is, when it'll be time to either renew the PR or apply for the citizenship, can my request be denied because I didnt stay in the province that selected me?
Knowing that I have a proof of all my job applications, interviews, refusal letter... as well as the signed lease agreement as a proof of my intent to stay.
Please can also someone tell me how I can protect myself (who should I contact) to inform them of my moving and why I am moving ( to be on the safe side)

thanks

Is there any update? Same situation here..
Appears that Canada is actually cracking down on people applying for PNP in one province and never settling in the province. What happened multiple years ago may be different than current polices. This is especially an issue with Quebec. Without CSQ you will not qualify for healthcare as a new PR. Wouldn’t qualify for OHIP either unless you meet OHIP residency requirement.
