According to my understanding NOMINATION ends when one get PR, province can't revoke PR on residency grounds.

Simple question, but HOW does someone get nominated for any PNP? Is it only application based?

Yes.
Ontario is the only province that makes the first move; for all others, you have to initiate the process.
But for all of them (even Ontario), you have to submit an application.

We know this but what about that post related to SINP.

Personally I believe that this news is not that reliable
Just fear mongering. The province trying to limit internal movement of PR is straight up unconstitutional. IANAL, but try taking it to SCC and they will be on our side.

Same for that 2 year rule thing. None PNP office nor Federal agencies can deny you citizenship for living under 2 years in the province. They can, however, investigate on whether you have lived in Canada for more than the citizenship application requires. This might have been a sign to some fraudsters. But without hard evidence of actually committing frauds, nobody can rule against you.

sadly not, it appears on average 8-10 months but some have even taken 18 months. No idea why I would think these candidates would be seen as priority having being specifically nominated!

Hi All,

I am trying to find some reliable information from any Canadian Government Official website but unfortunately, I couldn't find it. Does anyone has any references for reliable information on this minimum stay from Canadian Government Official website? I believe we should not go for any assumptions as this is a sensitive matter and may lead to some unexpected issues once we land in canada.

There is no official minimum stay duration, however you signed an intent to reside in the province which could be used against you if they really want to go after you.

I don't want to face any problems in the future so if I stay continuously for 2 years in that Province then will it be enough to avoid the unexpected problems in future?
