Hi guys, what is a ghost update ???? I am a newbie.
you usually get ghost update after the security is done.
It is either in the form of extra line added to the ecas or on the GCkey the account status says it is updated but when you open it , goes back to submitted

Thanks Sukhdeep, never understood all the short forms until now. Hope you get yours soon . Mine was submitted August 2017 and I still haven’t heard . When I called today, I got some news that my babkground check is being processed.

I am here too but have 3 deprndants. That might be my delay I am guessing here. Staying positive and hoping to hear something in Jan 2019.

Me nd my bf we applied same day & they received the application in august , luckily he got his approval in May 2018. So it varies from case to case and officer to officer too.

Hi Sukhdeep, yeah, it varies from officer to officer I Guess. Really need some action on mine soon. How Long can a background check really take ???? Sigh!

For me it took 5 months .. the best option is you can call them and ask . sometimes agents are nice , they tell you the at what step your file is.
