I wonder if any outland applicants are getting ghost updates, decision made and PPR too.

I’m an Outland applicant with three dependents and my Visa Office is Sydney Nova Scotia and secondary office as New York. The following is my timeline:

Received: August 28, 2017
AOR: October 5, 2017
Medical Request: March 22, 2018
Medical passed: April 5, 2018
Background check in process: April 18, 2018
Pre-arrival letter: April 19, 2018

GCMS notes requested on Aug 22, 2018 and received on Sept 22, 2018. It showed that everything is passed except Security Check which hadn’t started but was due October 5, 2018. It was also indicated under location as ‘Ready for PS’


I hope I’ll get an update soon too. The wait has been quite torturous.

Im july 27 2017 applicant still waiting ppr . No ghost update no decision made yet idk y they taking so long . My file still in process . Anyone with same timeline who havent got any update yet

Hi I am July 26. No ghost update or extra lines in ecas. However I was requested updated schedule A this week and they gave me 10 days to submit it ( I already do it). Many applicants do not get ghost updates or extra lines at all suddenly they get DM or PPR. Most of July 25-30 people have not receive DM, so do not worry. We should worry if they start receiving DM and we do not have any update yet.

Maybe I never paid attention but my ecas is 6 lines too... is it normally 5 lines? Also I'm an august 2017 inland applicant, post grad work permit expiring in February 2019. Is it advisable to renew my work permit now? hoping I can get pr before my permit expires and also trying to avoid wasting my money . Should I renew it?

I had the chance to apply for Express Entry at the same time 6 months ago. I so regret not applying.

Hi We are facing the same situation about renewing PGWP. My permit is also expiring in Feb, 2019. I got DM on 23rd, Nov, still waiting for PPR.
