If you have read the posts in this thread, you'd have known CIC is processing PPR for July 2017 Applicants now. So I'd assume you will get your turn in at least 4 months.

It seems that the last report of someone getting PPR is from October 19th. Definitely something is going on inside CIC (probably related to Canada Post strike?). Has someone received PPR these days? Please post you updates!

Yeah not heard about any recent PPRs.
I have started believing like other people in the forum that the Canada post strike may be the reason for delay in PPRs, since the Canada post is the only courier they want us to use sending passports, they don't want our passports to be stuck anywhere or mishandled. But decision made is a good step, atleast they are working on the files and guessing all DM files will get PPR soon (or may be once the strike is over)?

Even for the people who have sent their passports around October 5th-16th, their applications have been approved but did not get their passports back yet. (Checked on other thread). So probably patiently waiting is the only solution.

Couple of my frnds in montreal were told to visit immigration office in montreal for Confirmation of permanent residence. They didn’t receive any ppr, they Just received an email to visit the office. When they went to office, it took them 10-15 mins for paperwork and they were told that pr card will be delivered within 62 days. In short, the whole process of sending passport and then receving was eliminated. I think if only canada post is the problem, cic could have used this option also (just my point of view).
