Yes, work experience should align to the education for SINP. If you are not having at least 1 year of experience in the NOC related to your education, then you will not be eligible.
Another option would be, try to show that you had on the job training for NOC 2171 for at least 1 year. For this you may require a certificate from your employer that you were trained for 1 year. And this will make you lose 1 year in work experience.

Your diploma in cyber security, this one year cannot be used for claiming points in experience. else its good to go.

Noc 2171 @63 looks no hopes...

i have one more query everyone, i have 12+ years of experience in Noc 2171.Done BE in (electronics and telecommunications)+ MS in cyber security and law(2year) but as per WES its 1 yr diploma.will they consider my education and experience? As i have heard they consider education and experience should be in same field...

NOC: 2172 (Database Analyst)
EE profile submitted: 11th July 2019

I have submitted EOIs for Saskatchewan and PEI, no luck yet. Even I think Alberta is not picking candidates from tech NOC's below 400.

To be honest, at 374 I dont think you stand a fair chance unless you have one of the following:

1. Close connection
2. A job offer
3. 69+ score in SK
4. High enough CRS score etc.

I am no expert, but I am in the pool since Jan 2018 with :

• earlier with NOC 2171 and CRS 389 till Jan 2019,
• and now with NOC 2173 and CRS 428

The only thing that had happened so far is the Point 3 above(i.e. SK inviting 2171).
So in straight words, not much action happening for the 217X NOC codes, unless you have one of the above mentioned 4 points.

Now, as you might have concluded, there is nothing much one can do about points 1-3. The only thing you can do is raise your CRS. Otherwise, pray with me that some miracle happens and we get the golden invite.

Yeah. I earlier had the NOC 2171, but then OINP started to roll out EOIs for 2173. So I had to change to 2173 as both are applicable to me. And, now SK is inviting 2171 but not 2173
So now, I am having 2173 with 66 SK points.
And yes you might be right that there is less to no hope with our scores. But, you never know when your good luck strikes.

So be positive.
